Dedicated to protect health and promote quality of health care through prevention and control of infection. Infection Control is larger than just within hospital settings, therefore, it also involves collaboration between health care professionals and community partners.
Our program aims to control, reduce and prevent the spread of diseases through developing educational hygiene programs, policy and preventive measures for control. A critical component in our program is monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness to assure that the most optimal means of infection control and prevention are employed. Another important consideration is the protection of not only the patient but the visitors and health care workers from the spread of infection.
Our committee are multi- disciplinary and oversees the program for prevention, surveillance, data analysis and infection control.
The three main elements that is effective in our program:
-A systematic method of conducting epidemiologic surveillance for infections.
-Relevant written policies and procedures.
-Competent personnel.
